AJOB
is a nonprofit community-based organization which provides employment, training
and bilingual social services to the unemployed and underemployed who reside in the Bay
Area. Founded in 1974, AJOB has served over 15,000 people, and it continues
to assist the socioeconomically disadvantaged break the cycle of poverty. AJOB
is a school, a placement service as well as a social services agency. As
a school, AJOB provides Vocational English as a Second Language, Clerical, Computer
Literacy, Cashiering and Building Maintenance occupational job training skills. As a job
placement service, AJOB provides assistance with resume writing, job search
and job placement. Finally, as a social services agency, AJOB provides assistance
ranging from information and referral to individual counseling. The
training services are free to any U.S. citizen, permanent resident or refugee
and all three services: training, employment
and bilingual social services are free to those who are eligible under the
grants AJOB receives.

ELIBA
provides English as a Foreign Language, TOEFL preparation and other services
such as GRE and GMAT preparation to foreign students who possess an F-1 or M-1 student
visa. This school is authorized
under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students (F-1and M-1).
Classes are offered over a 17-week semester although foreign students
may study for a shorter time and may start at any time during the semester.
Tuition is very reasonable and competitively priced.
ELIBA offers free school counseling. Full-time students may attend the afternoon conversation
and writing classes or computer literacy skills training class without additional charge.ELIBA is authorized to
administer Institutional TOEFL tests as well as the TOEIC test.
